Welcome to the Temples page. This page is dedicated to the temples of Thailand, (although mostly around Pattaya and neighbouring provinces), and it is hoped that those who don't hold much interest in the mainstream and usual tourist temples, will find something a little more interesting here. If it prompts you to go and visit some of these lesser known places, then I will have done my job.

This first lot were taken on 28th February during the religious festival known as Macha Bucha. The temple is located in a small town somewhere between Korat and Buriram in Thailand's North East. (Issan) What makes this an interesting place is that there is a preserved body of a lady monk that died over a year ago, and kept in a glass panelled refrigerator. And the hair is still growing! |
